Village on the Lake is now imaged on Google street view, have a look!

Important Fall Reminders:

(1) Winterize your Exterior Taps – All residents are reminded to properly drain and winterize your taps to prevent any unfortunate incidents with frozen pipes bursting over the winter season. All residents with hoses at the sides of their units are asked to take these inside for the winter season.

(2) Heating Season – With the return of the colder weather, it is also time to get the furnaces in working order. This is a good time to replace the air filter and have your gas furnace inspected by an approved gas contractor.

(3) Smoke Detectors – Any residents with battery operated smoke detectors are reminded to change the batteries.

(4) Carbon Monoxide Detectors – Residents are encouraged to purchase and install carbon monoxide detectors in your units. Carbon monoxide is a deadly, odourless gas that can only be detected by an approved detector.

(5) Dryer Vents – Residents are asked to vacuum any lint which is stuck on the outside of their dryer vents to ensure that they are not blocked, which could be a potential fire hazard.

(6) Washer Hoses – Please ensure that your washer hoses are properly attached. If you intend to be absent from your home for any extended period of time, you may want to consider shutting off the water so that a flood can be prevented.

Burlington Ribfest

Canada’s Largest Ribfest is back for its 14th year!

Join us by the lake in Burlington, ON during the Labour Day Weekend when eighteen award-winning-Ribbers from across North America fire up their grills to bring you the best that BBQ’ing has to offer!

Free admission from Friday at 11am ‘til Monday night Spencer Smith Park will be teeming with smoky goodness, fall-off-the-bone ribs, live bands on 2 stages, crafts-by-the-lake and entertainment for kids of all ages.

This great community event is run by the Rotary Club of Burlington-Lakeshore. All proceeds go to their chosen charities.

Annual BBQ & Pool Party 2009

The annual neighbourhood bbq was held on Saturday July 4th this year. The Board had a great turnout and the pool was full of residents having fun. Kae Burke coordinated the event this year with various volunteers. Photos can be viewed at the VOTL Facebook site.
